Karma goes beyond this life

Action is superior to inaction and even the maintenance of the body would not be possible by inaction. Therefore, binding duties are to be performed. The one who does good will not be affected by grief. He is not destroyed neither in this world, nor in the next world. He is reborn in the house of the pure and wealthy. Or he is born in a family of wise Yogis. Indeed, a birth like this is very difficult to obtain in this world. After the birth, he comes in touch with the knowledge acquired in his former body and strives more than before for perfection. In the pursuit of Dharma, there is no loss of effort. There is no harm. Even a little practice of Dharma protects one from great fear. Thus, a man progress towards realization by his own effort and free will. This self alone is the friend of oneself and this self alone is the enemy of oneself. [13]

Observation: Good deeds and good faith always yield good results. They accumulate and lead to more conducive situation for the practice of Dharma. The magnitude or the proportion does not matter.
